Good luck guys! Format of the Event
You will be competing in a five round, round robin event. The games will be played in G/85 time delay 5, or G/90 if a time delay clock is not available. The rounds will be played concurrently with the 10 Rating Points Tonight!!! #15 on Tuesday nights beginning on February 9, 2010 and will be completed no later than March 16, 2010. One game will be played each Tuesday night with March 16, 2010 available for any make up game that needs to be played.
As the pairings will be made in advanced it is possible to rescheduled a game. If you are unable to make a Tuesday night it is possible to reschedule that game for later in the week. You will need to contact the Chief TD for the event and he will work to get it rescheduled. If the event is rescheduled, it can be played at a different location, however we ask that you make your best effort to make the Tuesday nights. As you will also note, March 16th will be a sixth week. So we have already built a makeup date into the schedule.
Every game played must be submitted to the QCCA prior to the start of the next weeks game. You can submit the games vial e-mail or hand deliver a copy of the your game to the TD. We will also have carbon score sheets available for you. We would greatly appreciate annotated games, however this is not required. All games will be posted on the QCCA website with the results. We will also be posting an article in the Gambit with the results and hope to feature a few of your games as well.
There is no entry fee to this event and the payouts will be as follows:
1st place - $100 2nd place - $50 3 - 6th place - $25 The Chief Tournament Director for this event will be Fabio Hurtado. I will serve as an Assistant TD and will work with any players that need to reschedule their match to a non-Tuesday night. Additional Assistant TDs may be added in the event that Fabio cannot make a Tuesday night. Any additional questions about this event can be submitted to Charlie Carerros and I will work as quickly as I can to get this resolved. |
