Executive Team Candidates

Charlie Carerros
If you attend the club on Tuesday night then you know who I am. Since drafting the QCCA Constitution and being elected as an Interim Executive Team member, I have been vital to the daily operations of the club. I have been the dedicated tournament director on Tuesday night, assisted with all Reverse Angles since being elected and ran the last one on my own. I have helped with the Fall Lecture series and am working as an organizer for the Greater Charlotte Championship. In addition to this, I have begun helping Mike E. with the website and message board maintenance.

Fabio Hurtado
Fabio is currently serving on the Executive Team as well as having drafted the QCCA Constitution. He is a USCF Certified Local Tournament Director and has TDed Reverse Angles, the Winter Scholastic and 10 Rating Point Tonight events. He took primary responsibility behind the planning for the Fall Lecture Series. Due to his son's football schedule he has missed a few Tuesday nights, however football season is over and its time push some pawns.

Gary Newsom
I just wanted to let everyone know that I have decided to step up and run for Executive Board for the next term. My qualifications are that I am a founding member of the club and have helped develop most of the events that we have become accustomed to, such as Reverse Angle and the current club format. I am a Certified Local Tournament Director. I also serve as the president of the NCCA. I look forward to the chance to work with our club to help make it the best it can be.

The 2010 club elections will take place on January 5th at 6:30 PM. Free pizza and soda will be provided and an open forum will be held for any QCCA member to ask questions of the current team and results of the year's activities.
